A defendant shall be punished by imprisonment for six months.

However, the execution of the above punishment shall be suspended for one year from the date this judgment becomes final and conclusive.

Punishment of the crime

Any person who intends to run a credit business shall register his/her business with the competent authority, and shall not receive any interest exceeding the statutory interest rate.

Nevertheless, the Defendant, without registering with the competent authority on March 26, 2012, lent KRW 2 million to the debtor J and received interest of KRW 199.10% from the debtor J in the Defendant’s residence located in Hong-gun, Hongsung-gun, Hong-gun on March 26, 2012 and received interest exceeding the statutory interest rate as shown in the attached list of crimes.
