Criminal facts

On January 7, 2004, the Defendant was sentenced to imprisonment with prison labor for one year and six months for a violation of the Act on the Aggravated Punishment, etc. of Specific Crimes (Larceny) at the Southern Branch of the Seoul District Court, on November 17, 2005, and one year and six months for the same crime at the Seoul Western District Court on April 18, 2008, three years for imprisonment with prison labor for the same crime at the Seoul Western District Court on April 18, 2008, three years for three years for the same crime at the Seoul Western District Court on March 9, 2012, and on July 2, 2015, and completed the execution of the final sentence on March 24, 2018.

On May 2, 2018, from around 02:05 to around 02:35, the Defendant: (a) removed a shock network installed in the main window of “D Child Care Center” located in Seongbuk-gu, Sungnam-gu, Sungnam-gu; (b) intruded into the victim E with cash amounting to KRW 400,000,000, which was in the face of the funeral room; and (c) stolen or attempted to steals cash amounting to KRW 4,505,00 on 14 occasions from May 2, 2018 to June 9, 2018, as indicated in the list of crimes.

As a result, the defendant was sentenced twice or more to larceny, and again stolen another's property or attempted another's property again within three years after the execution of the sentence was completed.
