Defendant shall be punished by a fine of KRW 800,000.

If the defendant does not pay the above fine, 100,000 won shall be one day.

Punishment of the crime

The defendant was a preliminary candidate for a reelection of B political party C. member of the National Assembly in the 7th nationwide local election implemented on June 13, 2018.

In order to benefit a candidate (including a person who intends to become a candidate) by means of a speech, broadcasting, newspaper, communication, magazine, poster, propaganda document, or any other means, a false fact shall not be published with respect to the place of birth, family relation, status, occupation, career, property, act, organization to which he/she belongs of the candidate, his/her spouse, lineal ascendant or descendant, or sibling, in favor of the candidate (including a person who intends to be a candidate). In particular, where he/she publishes an academic background, he/she shall not be published except the academic background which has completed a foreign educational course equivalent thereto, and

The Defendant graduated from the D School in 1975, but the D School was closed in 1983, and the E High School was opened to the relevant location after the D School was closed in 1983, and it was a school with no relation, such as the type of high school, the student and the ownership foundation belonging to the D School is different from that of the D School, and the East D School is holding a separate meeting. Therefore, the Defendant who graduated from the D School was not a graduate from the E High School or E High School which is similar to that of the E High School.

In addition, at the time of graduation of the defendant, the name of the elementary school was the "F Elementary School" (after this change to the "G Elementary School"), the name of the university was the "H University" (after this change to the "G Elementary School"), and the name of the university was the "H University" (after this change to the "I University" which is the four-year university), and where the defendant publishes his/her regular academic career, the name of the school at the time

Nevertheless, on April 11, 2018, the Defendant produced a preliminary candidate for re-election against his member of the National Assembly and stated “G elementary school graduate,” “E (Gu. D.) graduate from high school,” and “I University graduate” in the educational background column, and additionally preliminary candidates around April 30, 2018.
