A defendant shall be punished by imprisonment for not less than eight months.

However, the execution of the above punishment shall be suspended for two years from the date this judgment becomes final and conclusive.

Punishment of the crime

The Defendant is a person who operates the “C Game Center” in Pyeongtaek-si B.

No one shall allow others to engage in gambling or other speculative acts, or leave them to do so, using game products, and exchange, arrange for exchange or repurchase the results of tangible or intangible outcomes acquired through the use of game products as a business.

피고인은 2019. 3.경부터 2019. 4. 18.경까지 위 게임장에서 ‘D’ 등 게임기 71대를 설치하고, 그곳을 찾아 온 손님들로 하여금 1천원권 지폐를 게임기에 투입하면 게임 포인트 1,000점이 생성되어 게임이 시작되고, 게임 자동 진행 장치인 속칭 ‘똑딱이’를 올려놓으면 게임이 자동으로 진행되며, 화면에 지나가는 숫자나 그림의 모양을 맞추면 점수를 획득하는 방식으로 게임을 하게 하였다.

The Defendant calculated 1 won per point according to the points acquired by customers in an friendly manner as above, and exchanged in cash the amount calculated by deducting 10% of the fee from the fee.

As a result, the defendant allowed gambling and other speculative acts using game products, and exchanged tangible and intangible results obtained through the use of game products.
