A defendant shall be punished by imprisonment for not less than eight months.

However, the execution of the above punishment shall be suspended for a period of two years from the date this judgment becomes final and conclusive.

Punishment of the crime

No person, other than an entrusted business entity, who is the Seoul Olympic Winter Games Foundation or the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation or a person who is not an entrusted business entity, shall provide property or property benefits to persons who win the result by issuing voting rights for sports promotion or others similar thereto, and no person shall open a space for gambling for profit.

In sequence, the Defendant conspired with accomplices to conduct sports betting on the success or result of the sports game, and subsequently conspired to operate the sports gambling site E, etc. which would obtain or lose the game money according to the result of the game.

According to the above public offering, F served as a role in supplying funds necessary for the establishment and operation of the above gambling site or providing offices, G served as a general manager of the gambling site, H and I served as an employee management and exchange of gambling funds, and the Defendant served as an employee of the gambling site.

From January 27, 2017 to April 2017, the Defendant continued to operate the said gambling site with accomplices, and received KRW 474,577,911 in total from the Gwangju Bank account (1127-020-10273) in the name of the U.S. (1127-020-10273), etc. during the said period, and had them betting a certain amount of money, along with the prediction of the outcome before holding domestic and overseas sports events, such as stable, camping, farming district, and distribution district, and operated the private sports gambling site by paying dividends in accordance with the fixed dividend rate.

As a result, the Defendant conspired with accomplices to commit acts similar to the issuance of sports promotion voting rights, and at the same time opened a space for gambling for profit.
