Reasons
Punishment of the crime
The Defendant is a mine management director of Mongolia, a mine investment consulting firm in Mongolian U.S.
The Defendant, along with the Defendant’s father D, received USD 545,00,00, etc. as the name of KRW 545,00 from August 23, 2012 to October 16, 2013, in relation to the business of acquiring and operating a mine owned by G (G and one name H) located in Mongolia, from F that operates the said business for the purpose of railroad service in Korea.
With respect to the above mine transfer and mine drilling, Defendant and D obtained a demand to purchase two cargo trucks to transport drilling equipment from F (one truck of 4.5 tons at the market price of 16 million won, and 19.5 tons at the market price of 19.5 tons at the average of 16 million won) at the cost to purchase 2 cargo trucks (one truck of 19.5 tons at the market price of 16 million won).
