No member or employee of an election commission, member of a fair election support group, member of a fair election support group, voting clerk, advance voting clerk, ballot-counting assistant, witness, or other person engaged in election affairs shall assault, threaten, induce, or illegally arrest or detain, or interfere with the demand for or interfere with a polling station, ballot-counting place, or election commission office by committing violence or intimidation.
