A shall be punished by a fine of KRW 3 million, and Defendant B shall be punished by a fine of KRW 2 million.

The above fines are imposed by the Defendants.

1. Defendant A is a caregiver belonging to C medical care center, a long-term medical care institution.

Pursuant to the Act on the Protection of Long-Term Care for Older Persons, Etc., a medical care care provider provides older persons aged 65 years or older with services, such as physical activities, household activities, and bathing. The Defendant provided such services as above and entered the details in the record of provision of long-term care benefits, and submitted them to the above medical care center, the above center shall access the monthly website of the National Health Insurance Corporation based on the aforementioned record and RFID recognition data, and accordingly, the Defendant received allowances from the above welfare center based on the above record.

The Defendant, using the fact that the National Health Insurance Corporation paid expenses based on the above records and RFID recognition data, did not provide recipients with a desire to visit, or did not offer visit bathing in line with the provision, but did not wish to receive long-term care benefits.

On February 25, 2012, the Defendant: (a) at C medical care center located in Jeju City around February 25, 2012; and (b) on February 25, 2012, the Defendant did not provide the recipient with a desire to visit 2-3 times a week from the residence of the recipient F (75 years of age, Defendant mother) in Jeju City on February 2, 2012; and (c) even if provided, the Defendant did not provide other medical care protection G and 2-person 1, even though he did not provide the card, the Defendant and other medical care protection company’s card were formally recognized during the RFID short term, and provided the above center with a record sheet for long-term medical care benefits to the National Health Insurance Corporation.
