The Defendants did not pay the above fine.

Reasons

Punishment of the crime

1. Defendant A

A. Violation of the Game Industry Promotion Act (the point of a business providing Internet computer game facilities without registration) was installed in the 6th floor of the building in Jeju, 13 game rooms for customers, 13 PC for managers, 3 PC for managers, mix, joint-use machine, etc.

The Defendant, from September 2013 to October 20, 2013, operated businesses, such as providing the said PC to customers who found the above game site, and allowing them to run the game.

Accordingly, the defendant did the Internet computer game facility providing business without being registered with the Jeju Mayor.

(b) No person who violates the Game Industry Promotion Act (the point of such violation) shall engage in the business of exchanging or arranging such conversion or repurchase of tangible and intangible results (referring to score, premiums, virtual currency used in game and things similar thereto prescribed by Presidential Decree, such as game money prescribed by Presidential Decree) obtained through the use of game products;

Nevertheless, from September 15, 2013 to November 29, 2013, the Defendant engaged in the business of receiving 10 billion won of game money acquired through the use of game products (http://www.harme.com) and 10 billion won of game money acquired through the use of game products (http) by customers at the place indicated in the above paragraph (a) from September 15, 2013 to November 20, 2013, and exchanging 10 billion won of game money to customers by delivering 142,000 won of the game money to customers or exchanging 150,000 won of the money.

2. From November 16, 2013 to October 20, 11, 2013, Defendant B, while working as an employee of the above game room, received money from a customer who was found in the above game room with knowledge that he/she would engage in a business of exchanging game results from the above game room and received money from the customer who was found in the above game room, he/she confirmed the ID of the customer and issued the game money by making him/her equal to the amount he/she received in the game, or he/she was a customer on the game.
